Schedule

  • 4:00-4:45 p.m: River Road Camerata
  • 4:45-5:15 p.m.: Youth Choir (6th-12th grades)
  • 5:00-5:45 p.m.: Children and Youth Snack Supper
  • 5:00-6:00 p.m.: Adult Supper and Chancel Ringers Rehearsal
  • 5:30-6:00 p.m.: Jubilate Choir (2nd-5th grades) and Carol Choir (age 4-1st grade)
  • 5:45-7:00 p.m.: Youth Group
  • 6:00-7:00 p.m.: Adult Program and Children’s Rec & Missions

Supper

Children, youth, and adults will have different meals and reservations. You can sign up for children or youth emails at the bottom of this page.

Dinner reservations for adults will open at 9AM on the Sunday before and are required by 4PM the Thursday before. You can scan the QR code in the bulletin on Sunday morning or follow the link the e-Spire on Tuesdays. Make your dinner reservation at rrcb.org/supperReservations for September 22 are now open!

Adult Programs

Supper will be held before each adult program listed below.

  • September 22: Youth & Children Summer Presentation to adults (starting at 5:45); The Chu Chew – Considering themes from Jeff Chu’s Presentation
  • October 6: The McLaren Intersection – Considering themes from Brian McLaren’s Presentation
  • October 13, 20, 27: Four Small Group Presentations—choose one group to attend for the next three weeks
    • The Gift of Years: Aging Gracefully with Emily Tuck – a look at themes and relevant considerations related to growing older and maturing.
    • Parents: Woven: Nurturing a Faith Your Kid Doesn’t Have to Heal From  – with reference to a book of this title, led by Sandy Rooney
    • Discovering Hope in Times of Anxiety and Stress with Dr. Dan Bagby. Dr. Bagby will consider barriers to hope and the challenge of maintaining hope in today’s world and our own personal circumstances. He will offer ideas for nurturing a greater sense of hope as we go forward.
    • Faith After Doubt – a book discussion from Brian McLaren’s latest releases, hosted by Rose Browning. In this book, Brian proposes a four-stage model of faith development in which questions and doubt are not the enemy of faith, but rather a portal to a more mature and fruitful kind of faith. You do not have to read the book to participate.
  • November 10: Perspectives of Teaching & Learning at RRC- led by our own Young Adults
  • November 17: Rev. Jennifer Hawks, Director of Advocacy Cooperative Baptist Fellowship
  • November 24: Distinguished Speaker Forum: Amanda Tyler

Youth & Children’s Choirs

If you have a child age 4 (by 9/30/24) through grade 12, you are invited to participate in a choir. Click here to register.

Churchwide Lunch

On November 3 we will have a churchwide soup luncheon, and on December 1 have the Adventure Lunch. Details and reservation information are not yet available.
