Called Out to Serve
As Christ leads us, we go.
In his name, we open wide our doors, our hands, and our hearts—bringing our talents and time, our gifts and prayers, to all these ministries of love, and more.
God calls us to feed the hungry in both body and soul, welcome the stranger, clothe the poor, and minister to those who are sick or in prison. The Board of Missions (BOM) responds to this call by ministering to those in need, and encouraging the congregation’s engagement in missions through promotion, development, and implementation of projects and programs, often alongside faith-based organizations within the community, state, country, and world.
In our missions, we partner closely with Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF), CBF of Virginia, Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV), and River City Faith Network (RCFN). Through these mission partners, we are honored to be involved in the work of Christ next door and around the globe.
Mission Offerings
Each year our congregation continues support through offerings for CBF Global Missions, River City Faith Network, Alma Hunt Offering for Virginia Missions (WMUV and BGAV), and the Thanksgiving Offering.
We also promote the Fellowship Fund throughout the year to offer support to our neighbors in need of financial help.
