Drop Off in the Lower Commons
Sundays, July 20, July 27, & August 3, 2025, 9AM-1PM
July 21-25, and July 28-August 1, 2025, 9AM-5PM
Goal: 40 Filled Backpacks
August 1-3, 2025: Virginia Tax Free Weekend
This year Richmond Public Schools are continuing a clear backpack policy—due to this, the Board of Missions is providing the backpacks. We are asking that the church provide the schools supplies to fill 40 backpacks. Please fill a shopping bag with the full list of school supplies—each shopping bag should have all of the supplies needed to fill a backpack.
The deadline to drop off is Sunday, August 3, 2025. Please deliver supplies during any of the times listed above. Drop off donations in the Lower Commons, there will be designated/marked bins. Please note, the Lower Commons will be locked during the week—you will need to ring the bell/buzzer at the Lower Commons entrance, and someone from the church office or preschool office will grant access to the building.

Supplies to Fill a Backpack
(clear backpacks will be provided by the Board of Missions)
- 1 three-ring binder and divider tabs
- 1 or 2 packs of loose-leaf paper (wide or standard rule)
- 4 black and white composition books
- 2 one-subject spiral notebooks
- 1 three- or five-subject spiral notebook
- Pocket folders (with or without brads) in solid colors
- No. 2 pencils (not mechanical)
- Black, blue, or red ink pens (no gel)
