Midweek Connections may be a new name, but it is a familiar concept with a new twist.

Starting September 9, 2026, join us for Midweek Connections! It’s a change from regular Sunday night programming for most everyone (Youth Schedule will remain the same) with the opportunity for Supper, Fellowship, and Connection Groups. We’d love to see you on Wednesday nights this fall.

Midweek Connections Schedule:

  • 5:45-6:15 p.m.: Supper
  • 6:15-6:55 p.m.: Connection Groups
  • 6:15-6:55 p.m.: Make, Move, & Mission (K-5th grades)
  • 6:15-6:55 p.m.: Childcare (infants-JK)
  • 7:00 p.m.: Chancel Choir Rehearsal begins

Connection Groups

Connection Groups will run for a limited series, and we’ll start new ones. We want you to try them all out! Just because you go to one on the first week, does not mean you have to go to that one again. You can try them all. We are hopeful that this is a relaxed, casual evening of fellowship over the table and connection.

September 9, 16, and 23 the Connection Groups are:

  • Walking (Meet in Lower Commons)
  • Parent Forum
  • Games (Board and Card)
  • Religion Today—September 9 Mike Clingenpeel will explain Dispensationalism, an interpretation of the Bible that is shaping some Americans’ views of war and policy in the Middle East.

Youth are invited to join in any connection group.

Children

Children will participate in a rotation of Make, Move, and Missions.

Supper

As we have been casting a vision for the return of Wednesday night gatherings, we have continued to hear from you that table fellowship is a core value. The Midweek Connections supper will feature a typically lighter fare, likely self-served allowing each to manage their own portions. Imagine more picnic-style menus rather than “fork and knife” options.

Volunteers will continue to be essential to our Wednesday suppers, but setup and cleanup will be streamlined, lessening the demand on these servant-saints.

Reservations can be made online at rrcb.org/supper via Sign Up Genius, or by calling the church office. You may sign up week-to-week, or several weeks in advance. We do ask that you make your reservation by Mondays at 3:00 p.m. the week of the meal you would like to attend. We do not want a lack of a reservation to be an obstacle for good hospitality and a limited number of additional suppers will be available. Reservations are highly encouraged to help us plan without being wasteful, but you are always welcome to bring your own supper or just join us for the fellowship time and Connection Groups.

As a gift to celebrate the first Midweek Connections gathering, supper on September 9 will be free for everyone. (Don’t forget to make your reservation!)

We look forward to conversations around the table and hope you will join us!
