Choral Evensong
Choirs of River Road Church and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church
On June 2 at 5:00 p.m., the 80-voice combined choirs of River Road Church and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church will lead an Evensong service in our Sanctuary. The service will provide inspirational moments of worship here, but will also serve as preparation for these choirs’ pilgrimage to Bath Abbey and three cathedrals in the west of England. Music for the service will be directed and accompanied by Dr. Brent te Velde, Chris Edwards, and Diana Chou of St. Stephen’s and Dr. Bob Gallagher of River Road.
On June 9 at 4:00 p.m., the combined choirs will provide music for Evensong at Washington National Cathedral. They are looking forward to bringing more pilgrimage music to worshipers in our nation’s capital.
