Adult Wednesday Night Program – January 9, 2013
This is the first Wednesday program for 2013.
In winter, we will turn to contemplative, colorful ways of praying. We will consider the ways that rest becomes a creative, spiritual act. A variety of “stations” will allow you to move toward your creative comfort.
This program will be led by Suzanne L. Vinson, artist, mother, and ordained minister living a creative life. She makes art, leads art+spirit gatherings and retreats, and facilitates bereavement support using creative expression. (Suzanne will also be leading our winter retreat, February 8-9 .) Says Suzanne: “I savor sitting still and listening to sacred stories. There is no greater gift for me in ministry than being present to others in the midst of their story. In those spaces we gather with the divine.”
The session will be held in the Fellowship Hall and Upper Commons from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There is no cost for this session on creative ways of praying, and church members are encouraged to invite friends.
