Thoughtful Faith Community
Thoughtful Faith Community (TFC) is a time for our congregation to come together for fellowship and education. This fall, TFC looks a little different as we adjust our schedule and programming due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
TFC-Youth and TFC-Kids have weekly one-on-one family and fellowship opportunities with Marnie and Sandy, details and sign up are sent via email.
TFC-Adults studies and conversations are geared to help us find our place in the ongoing struggle for justice for all people. We will think critically and theologically about what God says through scripture and in Christ’s example. It will allow us each to consider our role and calling as followers of Christ. Details and sign up information will be posted below and emailed, a week before the program.

Thoughtful Faith Community (TFC) is a time for our congregation to come together for fellowship and education. The schedule has been aligned the schedule to allow children, youth, and adults to participate more fully. Additionally, intergenerational and mission activities have been included, as well as youth opportunities and new children’s programming.

5:15-6:15 p.m.: Wednesday Night Dinner
5:45-6:15 p.m.: TFC-Kids (pre-K to 2nd grades and 3rd to 5th grades)
6:00-7:00 p.m.: TFC-Youth
6:15-7:00 p.m.: TFC-Adults
6:15-7:00 p.m.: Children’s Choirs Rehearsal
Childcare is provided for newborns through pre-k (3-year-olds) from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
5:15-6:15 p.m., Fellowship Hall
As a church family, a meal is served around tables in the Fellowship Hall from 5:15-6:15 p.m. During this time of fellowship, announcements, birthdays and anniversaries, and prayer concerns are shared. Dinners are being prepared by our own Christopher Ahart and Madelyn Albright. You’ve experienced Chris’ artistry is worship; join us on Wednesdays to be delighted by his culinary skills. Chris has worked in the Richmond restaurant industry for 15 years. The dinner menu includes meat, vegetarian, and children’s entrées, along with a variety of sides including a salad bar, vegetables, and dessert.
Reservations are required by 11AM on Mondays before the dinner. You may make your reservation by contacting the church office. When you make your reservation, please indicate how many vegetarian and children’s entrées you’d like for your family.
Adults & Youth – $9/each; Children – $5/each; Family Max – $25
Our children will learn about the missionaries our church supports, other cultures, and mission opportunities in Richmond and around the world that they can become involved in.

TFC-Youth, 6:00-7:00 p.m., Youth Area
Following dinner on Wednesdays, from 6:00–7:00 p.m. the youth will gather for activities and discipleship opportunities. This allows our teenagers to grow together as a spiritual community and have fun together.
Program, 6:15-7:00 p.m. Assembly Room or Fellowship Hall
Adult programs continue to be interesting and fun educational programs led by our congregation, ministerial staff, and outside speakers.
