We welcome Rev. Dr. Greg Smith to the pulpit this Sunday. Greg and his wife Sue are Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Field Personnel located in Fredericksburg and operate LUCHA Ministries—Latinos Unidos por Cristo en Hermandad y Apoyo, or Latinos United through Christ in Solidarity and Support. The Smiths are longtime friends of RRCB, we are an encourager church for LUCHA Ministries, and they help lead our Panama Mission Trip.
9/23/21 Re-Entry Task Force Update
Greetings River Road Church family,
First, I must share my excitement for the tremendous presence and active engagement that you bring to worship. While we remain cognizant that some of you are unable to return just yet, we are grateful for the increased attendance we see each Sunday. Additionally, it was uplifting to hear the beautiful laughter and fun we had together at Celebration Sunday. Our Youth and Children’s activities are resuming safely with much anticipation. And last night we shared a fellowship meal together under the tent on the front lawn. There is so much excitement at River Road Church during this season of creatively ministering to one another in safe ways. Throughout this journey, you have been faithful in adhering to our safety protocols. Thank you; it makes a difference.
The Re-Entry Task Force continues to meet, monitor trends, and evaluate how best to keep our church family engaged in ministry safely. We understand how challenging a time this is for everyone, and throughout all our deliberations, your safety has been our priority. While we recognize that there may be differing opinions as to the conclusions we’ve come to, we are grateful that the spirit at our church these days has been one of unity and care for one another. We do not take this for granted. Moreover, we continue to emphasize, in a spirit of love for our church family, the importance of wearing masks when inside the sanctuary and throughout the campus, being aware and taking precautions when near our children, and the importance of being vaccinated, if eligible.
We remain in prayer for you. We ask you to do the same for us.

Important South Parking Lot Notice
Out of concern for the safety of our Sunday worshipers, Henrico Police recommend that pedestrians leaving the south parking lot avoid the driveway where cars are turning in. Instead walk towards the officer and cross close to where the officer is standing. The lower commons entrance on the other side of the building will be open before worship for those who prefer to park in the large north parking lot.
