Nickelsville, VA, Scott County
Partnering with Southwest Virginia Partnership, Inc.
June 23-28, 2019, Sunday through Friday. Leaving after worship on Sunday, June 23.
Why do we go?
To serve the needs of others through a Christian perspective.
Who is eligible to attend?
RRCB Adult church members and friends
What we will do:
Nursing home ministry, food pantry organization, painting, light construction, other ministries to be determined based on needs of the ministry and numbers of participants.
Skills necessary to join the trip:
None! Just a willingness to help those in need. Construction skills are needed for one of the sites we visit.
We will stay at The Manor, a dormitory style facility with bunk beds. Each room has a half bath. We plan on two adults per room. There are male and female shower rooms on the hall. There is a commercial kitchen, dining room, large gathering room and front porch for our use.
We use personal vehicles and the church truck to transport the team and materials as required.
We prepare our own food at The Manor. Groceries and supplies will be purchased in Richmond. Meal planning and food preparation will be done by members of the group.
$75 trip fee, per person, payable to RRCB. Please put “Nickelsville” in memo line. The fee covers the cost of lodging.
A willingness to serve and provide love and hope to the people of Nickelsville!
