Meet at 9:00 a.m. in the Assembly Room

In 1994, Congress passed the King Holiday and Service Act, creating a day of community service projects in celebration of the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday. Now, in observance of this national day of service, we are charged with taking a “day on, not a day off.”

River Road Preschool invites us to participate with them in important day of service. Participants will gather in the Assembly Room at 9:00 a.m. for a prayer service before beginning their projects. Projects include volunteering at St. Mary’s Reinhart House, cleaning classrooms and the Chapel pews, creating encouragement cards for Oak Grove Elementary students, and making goody bags for preschool events. If you know of a need in our community that can be added to the project list, please contact Danielle Simone, preschool director, at danielle@riverroadpreschool.org.
